A.
That gorgeous, famous author...oh, you're
serious.
Okay, Lori is a mom, author, nurse, very organized person and has a
good
sense of humor.
A. I'd had nine romantic comedies done and read a
humorous
mystery that I just loved. That's when I had my "ah ha" moment and
decided
to switch genres.
A. The marketing folks at Avon in
all
their infinite wisdom came up with it. I think it's perfect!
A. That's my
grandmother's
name. She died at the age of 93 on her birthday and A Dose of Murder
came
out on that date too!
A. She's very much like
me. I
wanted to do a Polish heroine who was smart, savvy, kick-ass and looked
decent.
A. I'm a nurse who no longer works in
nursing.
I live near Hartford, CT so insurance came to mind. There is oodles of
medical insurance fraud out there so my plots are almost written for
me.
A. Hm, they were hidden in my subconscious. I wanted a
mysterious guy who could teach Pauline the ropes and he's even
mysterious to
me. I don't know anymore about him than the reader does. I love that!
Darling Goldie. What could I say about Goldie other than he is one of
my
most enduring and favorite characters who I'd love to meet in person
(which
brings me to Johnny Depp needs to play Goldie in a movie so I can see
him
come to life. Goldie. Not Johnny.)
A. Ten years with summers not so much
while my kids were younger.
A. Witten about 18. Published 15
A. Sure. Here's the promo
blurb:
Book A Cruise to Paradise!
Enjoy an incredible escape from everyday life with extraordinary views,
first-class dining, deluxe accommodations, and no more than one corpse
per
stateroom.
The ship sails on April 25, 2006, so reserve in advance.
When fraud investigator Pauline Sokol discovers that her next case
requires
snooping on a giant cruise ship miles away from dry land and safety,
she
tries to squelch her feelings of unease. For a nice Polish girl who has
never been out of New England, cruising in the Bermuda triangle isn't
Pauline's idea of a good time. And to add to her distress, she finds a
dead
body in her quarters. Now Pauline must juggle her duties as a cruise
ship
nurse with her new role of ship snoop. And when a fellow nurse goes
missing,
only hunky fellow investigator Jagger can help Pauline sort out the
mystery
before more bodies start piling up.including her own!
Dive into DEEP SEA DEAD for the ultimate mystery on the high seas!
